NetZeroCities supports the EU’s Mission 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030. It helps European cities by providing them with the support and solutions they need to achieve their net zero goal in a socially inclusive way.

The project comes in support of the EU’s Mission “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030”, by developing new systemic approaches which enable a coordinated transformation across sectors. These including helping Mission Cities develop Climate City Contracts as an innovative governance tool, Pilot Cities to trial innovation activities and Twin Cities to replicate transformation methodologies and approaches.

Climate change affects us all and change is inevitable. Cities are leaders in the transformation of the way we work and live. Mission Cities are embarking on an ambitious journey to become the first 112 cities to reach climate-neutrality by 2030. Only a new type of collective effort will be up to the task: a transformative approach accelerating decarbonisation.
