Integrated Territorial Investments in West Athnens

ASDA is an association of nine municipalities in West Athens.
In its twenty-year course to date, ASDA has not only succeeded, but far exceeded the main goals of its establishment. First of all, the volume of ASDA projects and actions is impressive:
 Hundreds of environmental and urban regeneration projects in all Municipalities,
 Protection from trespassers - Redevelopment and promotion of the Diverse Mountain,
 Protection and development of the "Antonis Tritsis" park,
 Training and employment programs for unemployed and other vulnerable groups,
 Small and medium business support,
 Structures and institutions to deal with unemployment,
 Culture development actions
 Dozens of development studies on the region's problems,
 Special development programs for the overall upgrading of the area,
Participation of Western Athens in important european programmes and networks in the fields of Environment, Employment, Culture, Transport and Communications, new Technologies of Women's Entrepreneurship, Roma, Returnees, Foreigners, etc.,
are some of the most important activities of A.S.D.A. Most of these actions were carried out with resources that would not have entered West Athens if ASDA did not exist.
What is innovative in ASDA is not only the methodical search for appropriate policies, but also the selection of actions that can bring multiplying results. Because only then does a fragmented list of needs turn into a plan that takes advantage of every opportunity, maximizes the benefits for the local community and lays the solid foundations for a structured development path.
