FUTURE GARDENS: agrofotovoltaics + retention tanks/ponds + community gardens

This project is involved with the construction of agrofotovoltaics on pylons, compelemented by retention tanks or ponds and community gardens in the locality. This shall contribute to our city climate contract commitment, i.e. action and investment plan implementation and will help to overcome some specific barriers defined.

We need to construct renewables in the city to be able to shift our local energy market towards the sustainable, self-sufficient, secured and stable market and to enable further community energy development. Beside the technology innovative approach for the city, we also aim at the social innovation, when we need to strenghten commonly shared vision and commitment towards climate neutrality, and to improve the overall perception and opinion on climate change and renewables of wide public. We want civic society to participate in the whole process. Most probably, there will be third lever of change - finance - when we would like to test innovative finance to be able to secure sustainability of this project in long-term perspective and to overcome current barrier of the city, which is insufficient utilization of innovative funding and private capital engagement. The project proposal is currently still under development and more detailed and specific steps will be taken in following weeks.
