Recognising the increasingly challenging nature of financing sustainable urban development in European cities, EUI is organising a knowledge-sharing and capacity building event to equip urban practitioners with actionable insights and practical tools on how to mobilise, distribute and govern funds more effectively.
Building on the results of the study 'Bridging the gap: Exploring innovative financing schemes in European cities' , the Public Procurement partnership of Urban Agenda for the EU (UAEU), Urban Innovative Actions (UIA), European Urban Initiative and URBACT city experiments, this two-and-half day event brings both knowledge and skills needed for combining funding sources, engaging the private sector’s investment, identifying and preparing for various Cohesion Policy funding applications and aligning local priorities with funding criteria and Cohesion Policy objectives at national and EU level.
From 30th September to 2nd October, join us in Rotterdam and:
- Discuss how innovation in financing sustainable urban development is allowing to do more with less;
- Learn about diverse funding opportunities and how to increase your projects chance of success in acquiring funding;
- Hear inspiring stories of local authorities from across EU;
- Sharpen your skills and build a roadmap for different funding sources during peer workshops; and,
- Get a firsthand view of successful projects during site visits and network with like-minded individuals.
A detailed agenda will be published closer to the date of the event.
