MIFRIENDLY CITIES journal 1
UIA Expert, Peter Wolkowinski, gives a first look on how the project is being implemented

It’s been some months since the MiFRIENDLY CITIES project started its implementation and many activities have been carried out. The project has begun to produce knowledge stemming from the implementation of its innovative solution
You can now read the first of a series of journals following the project’s implementation process. In this first edition, find out about the EU, national and local policy. The main elements explored in the journal will be:
•    the contribution of refugees and migrants to the city’s civic, economic and social fabric is facilitated and recognised,
•    empowerment of refugees and migrants so they can access their rights and feel fully-fledged citizens,
•    that hostility and prejudice towards refugees and migrants is minimised
•    solidarity between migrant and non-migrant groups is built upon.
It includes information on progress made to date and how the project is overcoming challenges of implementation.
