MARES de Madrid Zoom-In
UIA Expert Alessandro Coppola provides an in-depth look at how the implementation is changing the local economy.

In the first Zoom-In produced for the MARES de Madrid project we learn how it is mapping and re-imagining the production and distribution processes within the city. A focus is given to the innovative communities of practice aimed at leveraging the skills that have been mapped in the four neighbourhoods targeted by the project to enhance their overall quality and distribution. Examples of the companies that are being supported by the project have been included providing inspiration for other cities that wish to reinforce their social and solidarity sector.

The UIA will publish a collection of Zoom-In’s from its funded projects annually in a variety of formats including: articles, interviews, videos or infographics. Zoom-In’s are an in-depth look into a specific part of the project allowing us to deepen the knowledge generated by the project concerning the solutions designed and implemented. It provides further information on how to overcome the main challenges related to the experimentation of innovative projects in a real urban setting.
