UIA Expert Willem Van Winden has been collecting the knowledge stemming from the implementation of the innovative solution proposed by the City of Bilbao of developing Industry 4.0 competences, in the fields of digitalisation and servitisation.

In the second UIA Journal, you will find out how the project has continued to progress looking specifically at:

  • Developing a locally-oriented multi-actor alliance in an innovative and unique way through two key building blocks: a collaborative road mapping tool, and a set of interactive training courses for industry-related companies in the field of digitalization and servitisation
  • More detail the professional training modules that were developed and delivered so far which are a tool to transfer new insights to companies, but also serve as a community-building catalysts for the companies that participated

This second journal provides a practical overview of how the city as well as its manufacturing and service firms are facing the pressure to stay one step ahead by dealing with the fast technological changes, more demanding clients in addition to new competitors entering the market.
