Zoom-in 2
UIA Expert Willem van Winden interviews Eduardo Castellano one the architects of a highly innovative approach towards industrial modernisation.

In the first Zoom-In produced for the AS-Fabrik project being implemented in the city of Bilbao we get an in-depth testimony on the question of how in the city, the project helps local industrial firms to make the transition towards a future-proof and digitally empowered industry. This is done through a collaborative approach, trying to match existing competences in the region, and develop new ones where needed.

The UIA will publish a collection of Zoom-In’s from its funded projects annually in a variety of formats including: articles, interviews, videos or infographics. Zoom-In’s are an in-depth look into a specific part of the project allowing us to deepen the knowledge generated by the project concerning the solutions designed and implemented. It provides further information on how to overcome the main challenges related to the experimentation of innovative projects in a real urban setting.
