Nasaud is a city from Bistrita-Nasaud County, located in the historical region of Transylvania, Romania. With a surface of 43.25 km sq, the city of Nasaud has a population of 10.215 inhabitants and it administers two villages. In its urban development challenges, circular economy has been prioritised as the main domain that highly demands the realization of projects that focus on disease prevention, so as to increase the level of quality of life, with the aim of increasing the level of satisfaction of citizens by the development of the local economic environment in order to increase the retention of the labor force and the attractiveness towards people who have left the city abroad. At the county level, there are certain initiatives to support the entrepreneurial environment, strictly at the level of the city of Nasaud, such practices are lacking. That is why it is extremely important to support the entrepreneurial environment through various measures to increase its capacity.

New types of urban planning and economic strategies are expected, such as the creation of an incubator businesses, the creation of hubs and entrepreneurship-based courses, the organization of economic events, as well as the facilitation of the optimal infrastructure for the efficient development of economic activities at the city level.
Sustained urban development implementing strategies for these types of measures would allow the consolidation of a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, competitive in relation to external markets but collaborative on a local level.
