MAC project addressed the urban poverty in the city district Monteruscello in Pozzuoli municipality, an urban area with socio-economic difficulties and large abandoned spaces. The project was based on three pillars: regeneration of abandoned green areas for agricultural purposes; promotion of agricultural entrepreneurship and employment opportunities; and improvement of the urban environment through reconversion of unused public buildings and space. MAC’s overall goal was the construction of a new agro-urban landscape that improves the socio-economic and urban dimension of Monteruscello city district and its citizens in a sustainable manner.

During its implementation, the UIA project has capitalised on its experience so that it can be shared with peers. The outputs displayed on this page are the result of this process.
