Grand Paris Metropole is expected to raise overall energy consumption by 30% in 2030. CORDEES aimed to achieve a breakthrough by creating a new energy ecosystem at Clichy-Batignolles, a 54Ha eco-district under construction. CORDEES proposed to combine 3 main solutions in an integrated approach to reach the energy efficiency objective (50 kWh/m2 & less 90% of CO2 emissions):

a) set up a new multi-players energy governance, the Urban Energy New Deal, which collectively defines energy commitments and contractual/financial /regulatory conditions for successful implementation

b) deploy a Community Energy Management Platform, an interoperable/multi-user platform monitoring, consolidating and analysing in real time energy data for all buildings (electricity and heat) and public facilities (Electric Vehicle stations, street lighting, automated waste collection),and defining optimisation scenarios.

c) test new services (and a new function the “Urban Sustainability Trustee Facilitator”) empowering stakeholders and target groups to achieve energy efficiency goals.

During its implementation, the UIA project has capitalised on its experience so that it can be shared with peers. The outputs displayed on this page are the result of this process.
