The study focuses on understanding how small and medium-sized cities across Europe participate in EUI activities, and how their involvement can be further supported and strengthened. Given that small and medium-sized cities represent a significant share of cities in the European Union, they play a key role in shaping sustainable urban development. The research aims to have a clearer and more strategic understanding of how small and medium-sized cities participate in the European Urban Initiative's opportunities.
The objective of the project is to develop recommendations to facilitate the participation of small and medium-sized cities, better understand their needs, and highlight the contributions they offer in advancing sustainable urban development in Europe.
