This 1.5-day event was organised to support local authority staff including, but not limited to, the Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme (THRIVE) beneficiaries in integrating preservation, conservation, and sustainable adaptive reuse approaches in the detailed design stage of their STRAND 2 applications and in other similar future projects.
The primary target audience was local authority staff including (but not limited to) planners, town centre regeneration officers, conservation architects, archaeologists, conservation officers and heritage officers with responsibility for (a) implementing THRIVE Strand 2 funding awarded and (b) preparing future proposals and involvement in similar national or European schemes.
As well as increasing their capacity and engaging in great learning opportunities, attendees had the opportunity to take part in hands-on exercises in workshops using both national and European case studies, informative plenary sessions, inspiring keynote speakers, site visits and ample time for networking with national and European counterparts.
