Building on the results of the EUI, Urban Innovative Actions (UIA), Urban Agenda for the EU (UAEU) and URBACT, this Focused Policy Lab will explore practical, city-led approaches to address the complex challenge of housing affordability in Europe, fostering peer learning, knowledge exchange, and the co-creation of actionable solutions.
In the context of the EU Affordable Housing Plan and the Housing Task Force, coordinated EU-level efforts aim to mobilise investment in housing, improve access for vulnerable groups, and remove barriers to increasing the supply. The Lab will support cities of all sizes in learning about projects and strategies from other urban areas, helping them gather the knowledge and tools needed to implement solutions locally.
This Lab is an opportunity to gain evidence-based knowledge and strengthen networks across Europe to tackle affordable housing challenges.
The EUI Focused Policy Lab, organised in coordination with the City of Fuenlabrada who is implementing the Innovative Actions project SHARE welcomes all participants, with a priority given to cities and local authorities, and urban practitioners.
