TRUST transforms Salamanca’s care system for dependent people by deploying AI-based voice recognition, IoT sensors and predictive analytics. The project streamlines administrative procedures, improves service coordination and also strengthens support for informal caregivers through a dedicated Caregiver Support Programme. All solutions will be showcased in the Innovation & Care Centre, a renovated municipal hub for training, testing and community engagement.
About
TRUST (Technological Response for Unified Sociocare Transformation) aims to improve the lives of dependent individuals, informal caregivers, and social workers in Salamanca through innovative use of digital technologies.
The project addresses urgent challenges in the local care system, including delays in dependency recognition, excessive bureaucracy, and limited coordination between social and healthcare services. At the same time, it responds to the emotional and logistical burden on informal caregivers, who often lack support, training and time to rest.
TRUST proposes a comprehensive solution combining AI-powered voice recognition, IoT-based remote monitoring and predictive analytics. These tools will reduce administrative tasks for social workers, improve real-time information flows and allow earlier intervention in cases of health deterioration. Alongside these, a Caregiver Support Programme will offer emotional support, counselling and training.
All these innovations will be demonstrated in the Innovation & Care Centre (ICC Salamanca), a renovated municipal building that will serve as the project’s physical hub.
TRUST sees technology and AI as tools to build a more human, inclusive and person-centred care system – one that enables quicker responses, greater autonomy for dependent individuals, and better working conditions for professionals and caregivers.
